Last year I led the SAP basis upgrade from NW 7.4 to 7.5: technical upgrade planning, testing, production execution. Six months of preparation, weekend cutover. Live without major incident. ERP upgrades succeed on planning; rushed execution creates production crises.

Describe a critical incident.
SAP production system unresponsive mid-business-day. Triaged: identified work process exhaustion due to a runaway job. Killed the job, restored normal processing. Investigated underlying cause: developer had introduced an inefficient loop in custom code. Coordinated fix with development team. Post-incident: better load testing on custom code, runaway-job monitoring. ERP incidents are stressful; structured response prevents chaos.

Multi-ERP administration commands a premium. I'd expect annual bonus, on-call allowance, certification budget. I'm on 30-60 days' notice. Beyond pay I'd value the team's modernisation trajectory.
