Job Description

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Network Security Engineer must me Omani Nationality

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitor network traffic and security event logs to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest network security technologies, emerging threats, and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend security products, tools, and technologies to enhance our security posture.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to network administrators and other IT teams regarding network security configurations and best practices.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery from security incidents.
  • Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Omani national with relevant work authorization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNP Security are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in network security engineering roles, preferably within the banking or financial industry.
  • Deep understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, DNS, and network segmentation.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
  • Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of network security.
