As the Project Director, you will oversee and lead road construction projects from inception to completion. Your extensive experience in the roads construction industry, combined with strong leadership and project management abilities, will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of projects and the attainment of business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall strategic direction and leadership for road construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, procurement strategies, and risk management plans.
• Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures to ensure project success.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Oversee project budgeting and cost control measures, ensuring optimal resource allocation and adherence to financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster client relationships and actively engage in client communication, addressing concerns, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in road construction technologies, and best practices, implementing innovative approaches to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• German national with relevant work authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Extensive experience 20 years in project management within the roads construction industry, including significant experience in managing large-scale road construction projects.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, meeting timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Strong knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and achieving project objectives.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
