A leading construction and contracting company based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with a rich history of delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join their team.

 

Position: Engineering Manager

Location: Saudi Arabia – Remote Location

Role Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all engineering activities throughout the project life-cycle. Your primary focus will be to lead a team of skilled engineers and technical professionals, ensuring the successful execution of projects, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion within budget constraints. Your expertise in contracting and civil engineering, combined with your strong leadership and managerial skills, will be pivotal in driving the success of our projects.

 

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, in alignment with organizational objectives and client requirements.
  • Ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively, meeting quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve any potential issues during project execution.

 

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of engineers and technical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, encouraging their professional growth and skill development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans as necessary.

 

Contracting Experience:

  • Leverage your extensive contracting experience to manage and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
  • Monitor contract compliance and manage change orders, variations, and claims to safeguard project profitability.

 

Budget and Cost Control:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to establish project budgets and ensure adherence to cost constraints.
  • Implement effective cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives without compromising project quality.

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize your strong civil engineering background to review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction plans.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the team, addressing complex engineering challenges as they arise.

 

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Prioritize health, safety, and environmental considerations in all engineering activities, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies related to health, safety, and environmental practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and project management, with a strong background in contracting, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Must be based in Saudi Arabia and able to start as soon as possible.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and practices is advantageous.
