Objectives:

• Generate profitable convention business through effective leadership of the Business Development team.
• Develop, build, and maintain exceptional business relationships with all stakeholders, both locally and international.

Main responsibilities:

• Implement and manage effective lead generation initiatives to generate new business leads across assigned market and industry sectors.
• Implement lead generation initiatives to maximise the Kingdom’s strengths in key industry sectors, as per Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
• Fully support and oversee this role’s direct reports of Business Development team, ensuring they have the correct tools to convert leads into secure business deals.
• Develop and implement creative and collaborative stakeholder and industry collaborative initiatives.
• Develop a thorough understanding of both the global and local Convention industry.

Requirements

• Be flexible and willing to assist with the other duties as required.
• Actively Participate in Executive Management & other company meetings as and when required.
• Oversee and manage the preparation and distribution of all associated department reports.
• Establish, implement, and oversee departmental measurements that support the company’s strategic goals, vision, and mission.
• Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships industry bodies and associations.
• Inform and communicate with any significant problems that may jeopardize or impinge the company goals and reputation to the General Manager and/ or Executive Team.
