Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Saudi litigation lawyer with a sharp courtroom presence and a strong
command of trial strategy. This is a highly strategic legal hire and will support the leadership team on
commercial and administrative disputes before Saudi courts.
The successful candidate will be a pure disputes professional someone who lives and breathes
litigation not a generalist or regulatory/compliance profile. This is a critical position that requires
depth in trial advocacy, court submissions, and litigation management, not advisory or transactional
work.
Key Responsibilities
• Represent the company (or client entities) before Saudi commercial and
administrative courts
• Develop and execute litigation strategies for complex, high-value disputes
• Lead or co-lead case files including pleadings, hearings, appeals, and enforcement
• Engage with internal business teams to assess litigation exposure and prepare risk
responses
• Liaise with external legal stakeholders (where necessary) and regulatory bodies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of litigation procedure, legal reform, and judicial
practices in Saudi Arabia
Candidate Profile – Must Have
• Saudi national, already residing in Riyadh or Jeddah or willing to relocate from
somewhere else in Saudi.
• 10+ years of litigation experience, focused on trial work in Saudi courts
• Currently or recently serving in one of the following roles:
• A Saudi national law firm, managing or co-managing the disputes department
• The litigation division of a holding group or large Saudi enterprise as the lead or #2
lawyer
• Proven experience in leading courtroom advocacy (not just supervision or external
management)
• Strong drafting skills and deep understanding of local court procedures
• Licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia
• LLB required; LLM preferred, especially from a Western university
What We’re Not Looking For
• Regulatory, transactional, or compliance-focused profiles
• General legal counsel who supervise litigation but do not personally represent in
court
• Candidates from international firms who’ve never practiced before Saudi courts
