Job Description
- Responsible for managing quantity surveying and cost control activities for infrastructure projects,
including measurement, billing, reconciliation, claims, subcontractor certification, cost reporting,
and ensuring compliance with contract provisions and project requirements.
- Preparation and submission of Interim Payment Applications as per Contract (monthly or as
specified).
- Taking off all quantities for Major Bridges, Culverts, Roads, and other finishing forms from
AutoCAD drawings.
- Calculation of quantities for all road layers including Sub Grade, Granule Sub Base,
Aggregate Base Course, Bituminous Base Course, and Bituminous Wearing Course from cross
sections.
- Preparation of drafts related to execution for planning engineer and project engineer approval.
- Preparation of billing for executed work and submission to cost consultant for evaluation.
- Preparation of reconciliation reports on a monthly basis and reporting to Project Manager and
Construction Manager.
- Preparation of value of work done monthly in coordination with site engineer.
- Certification of subcontractors’ bills for products utilized at the project site.
- Calculation and submission of variations and claims based on drawings to cost consultant.
- Coordination with suppliers for new rates analysis of tender/varied items and updating system.
- Preparation of strip charts/graphs in Excel related to site construction.
- Updating subcontracting bills (Utility, Service, Civil, Marine Infrastructure) on ERP.
- Preparation of actual cost reports at site for major works (Embankment, Granule Sub Base,
Aggregate Base Course, Bitumen, Concrete) for contract manager.
- Maintaining change notice and control registers for variations and forwarding to audits.
- Preparation of audit documents periodically for project and contract managers.
- Tracking and follow-up of receivables.
- Degree/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects
