Job Purpose

The QC Inspector – Civil is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, verifying construction materials, monitoring work procedures, and ensuring adherence to quality control plans.

 Key Tasks and Duties

  • Conduct inspections of civil construction activities, including foundations, structural works, concrete, and finishing works.
  • Verify compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
  • Monitor concrete pouring, curing, and testing processes to ensure proper strength and durability.
  • Perform material inspections, including aggregates, cement, reinforcement, and other construction materials.
  • Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials as required.
  • Identify and document any defects, non-conformances, or deviations from approved specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at construction sites.
  • Collaborate with site engineers, contractors, and project teams to address quality-related issues.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct re-inspections after rectification of identified defects and ensure satisfactory completion.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of quality inspections for audits and compliance.
  • Participate in quality meetings and provide recommendations for process improvements.

     Qualification

    • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

    Certification: Relevant certification in Quality Control (e.g., ISO 9001, ACI, ASTM, or equivalent) preferred.
