Program Manager – Enterprise Data Platform

Job Description

The Program Manager – Enterprise Data Platform is responsible for the successful delivery of the
bank’s enterprise Data Platform initiative. This includes overseeing all phases of the project
lifecycle—procurement, design, development, deployment, testing, and handover—ensuring
alignment with business goals, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The role
demands expert-level project governance, cross-functional coordination, risk mitigation, and
stakeholder engagement to deliver a modern, scalable, and compliant data management platform.

• • Lead end-to-end execution of the Enterprise Data Platform project including
procurement, design, development, deployment, testing, and handover.
• Define project approach, responsibilities, schedule, and ensure alignment with overall
program objectives.
• Communicate project requirements, work plans, and management updates to all
stakeholders.
• Prepare and validate project status summaries for management, ensuring stakeholder
alignment.
• Conduct regular project meetings to monitor progress, challenges, and next steps.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Business, IT, Operations, etc.) and system
integrators to define and refine business requirements.
• Define and enforce quality criteria including entry and exit conditions; raise alerts on any
deviations.
• Monitor deliverables against baseline scope and report variances.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and pre-requisites; develop mitigation strategies to ensure
smooth execution.
• Drive collaboration between internal teams, vendors, and system integrator (SI) partners.
• Proven track record managing large-scale data platform projects, preferably in the banking
sector.
• Deep expertise in RDBMS, structured/unstructured data, big data technologies, NoSQL
databases, ETL, and data warehouse architecture.
• Experience in implementing cloud-based data platforms and business intelligence tools (e.g.,
Power BI).
• Strong background in vendor coordination and contract negotiation.
• Strong leadership and team management in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong multitasking ability with effective time and priority management.
• Proficiency with modern project management tools and platforms.
• Up-to-date knowledge of trends in data platform infrastructure and operation.
