Planning Engineer (Water Distribution & Transmission Projects)

Job Description

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for water distribution and transmission projects. This role requires strong expertise in project planning software, in-depth knowledge of civil infrastructure, and the ability to manage timelines, resources, and reporting to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within contract requirements.

  • Develop detailed project schedules, baselines, and work programs for water distribution and transmission projects.
  • Monitor progress against schedules and update regularly in coordination with project teams.
  • Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks; propose corrective measures to mitigate impacts.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, forecasts, and dashboards for management and clients.
  • Manage resource planning including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Support tender planning and time-impact analysis for claims and variations.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and controls in water sector projects.

Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
