Job Description

Main Duties   

  • Required to join F&M Middle East in Muscat, Oman.
  • To support the ongoing development and act as a key link with the Upper Management.
  • Reporting directly  to our Managing Partner/CEO  and Head of Development & Tender.

Bid Management

  • Lead the end-to-end tendering process, from identifying potential opportunities to submitting final proposals. This includes coordinating with various internal departments and stakeholders, developing bid strategies, and managing timelines and deadlines.

Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with technical experts and business development teams to create compelling and well-structured proposals. This involves conducting research, understanding client requirements, and tailoring proposals to address specific project needs.

Business Developer  

  • Recognizing and study market trends, competitor actions, and client wants to identify new business prospects
  • Generating leads through networking and industry events, resulting in a 60% increase in clientele
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and delivering customized solutions, resulting in a 40% increase in revenue
  • Constructing and deliver persuasive business proposals and presentations, securing new contracts and partnerships
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and business partners, resulting in a 40%
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to connect business growth strategies with goals for marketing, product development, and operations
  • Conducting market expansion research and identified potential target markets, which led to effective market penetration and improved target
  • Responding to client inquiries and working with internal departments to ensure client satisfaction as part of client relationship management
  • Providing value propositions and competitive advantages for business proposals, pricing, and presentations

Documentation and Compliance

  • Ensure that all tender and proposal documents are accurate, complete, and comply with the client’s requirements and industry standards. Review and edit content, as necessary, to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company branding guidelines.

Team Coordination

  • Work closely with technical teams, subject matter experts, and other departments within the organization to gather necessary information for proposals. Coordinate and manage the contributions of team members, ensuring the timely delivery of required content and documents.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential challenges or obstacles during the tendering process. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and address potential issues that may arise during project execution.

Cost Estimation and Pricing

  • Collaborate with the finance team and relevant stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates for proposed projects. Develop pricing strategies that align with the company’s financial goals while remaining competitive in the market.

Proposal Evaluation

  • Participate in the evaluation of tender or proposal responses, assessing their suitability and compatibility with client requirements. Provide recommendations and insights to senior management for bid/no-bid decisions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly review and evaluate the tendering and proposal management process, identifying areas for improvement. Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous bids to enhance future success rates.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners. Attend industry events, networking functions, and conferences to enhance the organization’s reputation and identify potential business opportunities.

Knowledge Management

  • Maintain a centralized repository of past proposals, templates, and supporting documents. Continuously update and refine these resources to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in future tendering activities.
