We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client’s team in Dubai. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing financial insights to support the retail operations. Proficiency in the ERP Coral software is essential for this role.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely financial information.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and journal entries.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or variances.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other financial documentation.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and business strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve financial efficiency, and enhance controls.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing schedules and reconciling accounts.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and accounting best practices to ensure compliance and optimal financial management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5 years working as an Accountant in the retail industry.
- Proficiency in using ERP Coral software is essential.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and tax laws is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
