System Engineer

Design, implement, manage, and maintain physical and virtual server environments, ensuring
system performance, availability, and security

•  Develop and manage infrastructure vision and planning to achieve business goals
•  Ensure 24×7 availability of mission-critical systems
•  Perform server administration, monitor logs, and ensure seamless system architecture
•  Resolve service requests in line with SLAs
•  Monitor data center and disaster recovery site health and build/test servers
•  Resolve incidents affecting infrastructure availability and reliability
•  Manage vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts
•  Conduct product research and provide procurement recommendations
•  Conduct feasibility studies for upgrades and improvements
•  Support business and IT projects per scope and timelines
•  Deploy infrastructure security measures per organizational policies
•  Develop SOPs for all new and existing IT systems
•  Own and manage virtual and physical environments hosting critical services
•  Maintain detailed IT system asset inventory
•  Support product evaluations, service selections, and tenders
•  Contribute to design and capacity planning of new server systems and applications
•  Execute server-related deliverables in business/IT projects
•  Manage system patching and security updates
•  Administer physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux)
•  Manage DHCP, DNS, and access control settings
•  Oversee deployment and management of Microsoft 365
•  Implement and manage backup solutions (tape, Veeam)
•  Operate and maintain email archiving systems
•  Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
•  Coordinate with IT security for compliance enforcement
•  Handle IT audits, security, and compliance requirements
•  Support incident response and document escalation procedures
•  Use monitoring tools for system health and alert response
•  Manage replication between production and DR sites
•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
•  Minimum 10 years in Linux, OS, Storage, VMware, Hyper-V, and Veeam
•  Prior experience in enterprise environments, preferably banking
