Bank is seeking a skilled Business Analyst with experience in Cards (Credit, Debit, Prepaid)
and Acquiring (POS as well as e-commerce / payment gateway) to join Cards Agile Team.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business needs, defining
requirements, and delivering solutions for card-related products and services. This role
requires understanding of payment ecosystems, card lifecycle management, digital
banking, payment schemes mandates and regulatory compliance within the banking and
financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Elicitation and Refinement: Working with stakeholders (product owners,
business users, technical teams) to understand and document business needs reated to
payment processing, card management and related systems.
2. User Story Creation, BRD and Prioritization: Translating business requirements into
clear, concise, and actionable user stories that can be understood and implemented by
development team. Prioritizing these user stories based on business value and technical
feasibility. Should be capable of re-assiging the priorities based on current business
needs. Should also lead requirement workshops, prepare business requirement
documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows.
3. Agile Ceremonies Participation: Actively participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint
planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. This is a must to facilitate
team alignment and communication.
4. Product Backlog Management: To manage and refine the product backlog. To ensure
that it reflects the current state of requirements and priorities.
5. Stakeholder Communication: To facilitate communication between stakeholders and
the development team, ensuring that everyone understands the requirements and the
progress of the activities / user stories. Also provide regular updates on progress to
Product Owner and Scrum Master.
6. Domain Expertise: Processing a strong understanding of payment processing, card
issuing and acquiring systems (credit, debit, prepaid, POS as well as e-commerce acquiring

and payment gateways), 3DSecure, Fraud Management and related technologies like
contactless, tokenization, etc. Should also be well-versed with Digital Banking initiatives
for Cards and related services.
7. Quality Assurance: Collaborating with testing team to ensure the the developed product
meets the defined requirements and quality standards. Support system integration and
user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, DOD, DOR and validating
functionality. Also provide post implementation reviews.
8. Process Analysis and Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve existing
business processes related to cards issuing as well as acquiring processing and
management.
9. Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation related to business
requirements, user stories and SOPs for smooth handover of new project / CRF to
operations team after go-live.
10. Mandates Compliance: Must be updated on Payment Schemes mandates and new
requirements. Should be capable of reviewing and providing support documents for
mandates as well as plan for delivery. Also ensure Regulatory and Compliance
requirements (e.g. PCI DSS, local central bank guidelines as well Bank’s internal
compliance requirements).
11. Vendor Management: Coordination / Discussion with vendors during requirement
gathering. Evaluate development proposals from vendors are as per business
requirements and arrange for negotiation of vendors’ proposals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
